Dan Gowen is executive vice president and employee benefit practice leader for Assurex Global. In this role, Dan is responsible for the business strategy, new products and services, training and education and assisting Partners in growing their employee benefits presence.

Dan has more than 28 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Assurex Global, he spent 10 years as national practice leader for Wells Fargo Insurance. He has also spent time with another large consulting firm and with two insurance carriers.\

Dan is an Advisory Council Member of Gamma Iota Sigma and a past chairman of The Council of Employee Benefits Executives (CEBE), a part of The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and statistics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dan resides in Chicago with his wife Suzy and their three sons.
