Vice President, Meetings
Maggie Walton is vice president of meetings for Assurex Global. She is responsible for all events offered to the Assurex Global Partners servicing all four global regions. Her job involves thinking internationally on extensive negotiations, logistics, volunteer coordination and on-site management of the meetings and conferences.
Prior to joining Assurex Global in 2006, Maggie worked in Washington, D.C. for the National Sheriffs’ Association and on Capitol Hill. She was previously a member of the Membership Committee for Financial & Insurance Conference Planners Organization, and is currently a member of the professional Development Committee for Ohio Society of Association Executives.
Maggie obtained her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2012 and also volunteers her time to teach Certified Meeting Professional Candidates study sessions. She was recently recognized as an industry leader in Collaborate magazine’s The Skilled Set “40 Under 40.”
She completed her undergraduate studies at Elon University in North Carolina, where she specialized in business marketing.
