Three New Board Members Elected by Assurex Global

Jessica Jung of Oswald Companies, Pedro Rego of F. Rego Corretores de Seguros, S.A., and Hal Wells IV of Wells Insurance were elected to the Board of Directors for Assurex Global during the 2023 Global Conference in Rome, Italy. Assurex Global is the world’s largest privately held commercial insurance, risk management, and employee benefits brokerage group.

“We welcome these three excellent new additions to our board and look forward to their contributions in making Assurex Global an active participant in the growth of our Partner Firms,” said Assurex Global President & CEO Dean Hildebrandt. “We also want to thank our three outgoing Board members for their unwavering dedication to our Board and many contributions over the past 15 years.”

In addition, the following members were re-elected for a three-year term: Juan Mario Acevedo (Correcol), Luke Proctor (IMA Financial Group), and Dean Hildebrandt (Assurex Global). 

Jessica Jung is the President of Oswald Companies, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and is responsible for the oversight of all business units. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Property & Casualty Division at Oswald. Before joining Oswald, Jung was Chubb’s Vice President and Branch Manager of its Cleveland office. She has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years in various underwriting and leadership roles. Jung’s experience in various areas of the insurance industry makes her uniquely qualified to lead innovative strategic initiatives that add a differentiated value to the clients and employee-owners whom she passionately serves.

Pedro Rego is the CEO of F. Rego Corretores de Seguros in Oporto, Portugal. With a degree in Economics from the University of Porto and a Senior Executive Management Program from AESE Business School, Pedro has been with F. Rego since 1993. Starting in the trade credit and surety department, he has worked his way up to Executive Director and now proudly holds the positions of CEO and President of the Board of Directors. Pedro’s expertise and leadership extend globally, as he contributes to various international forums and committees on strategic planning, innovation, and business development within the integrated companies and associations of the F. Rego group.

Hal Wells IV is Co-President and CEO of Wells Insurance, headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina. As CEO, Hal is focused on organizational growth while actively participating in several professional and educational organizations. Currently, Hal serves on the Board of Trustees for Cape Fear Academy, is on the Board of Directors for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, and is Board Chairman for the UNCW Swain Center, as well as a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the UNCW Cameron School of Business.

Outgoing Board members are Bob Cawley of Founding Partner Firm RCM&D, Bob Klonk of Oswald Companies, and Stefan Nill of LEUE & NILL GmbH + Co. KG. All three have served on the Board since 2008, and have all served as Chairmen of the Board during their tenures.
