Employee Benefits Market Check Survey: Top Benefit Priority in 2022

In today’s competitive labor market, coupled with the repercussions of the ongoing pandemic, employers have many competing priorities related to their employee benefits initiatives. Employers look to balance urgent needs while focusing on their long-term employee benefits strategies.

We conducted a poll during a webcast on January 27 to gain insight into employers’ top benefits priorities in 2022. We compare these results against responses we received to a similar question in July 2021, asking employers their employee benefits priorities for the remainder of the year. The results are in the charts below.

Key Findings

Cost concerns will always be top of mind for employers of any industry, demographic, or geographical location, and our poll responses from both points in time demonstrate this. January’s responses show that the new year allows employers to turn from budget setting to other areas that can improve the employee experience, attract new talent, and keep the business compliant and efficient.

As employers evolve their strategies in this challenging market, they must continue to prioritize employee needs against the company’s business objectives.
